Lovely waterfront one bedroom apartment in the pretty Provencal town of Port Grimaud - La Cite Lacustre.

This ground floor south east facing apartment is ideally situated on one of the busy canals of Port Grimaud, a waterside city conceived by the architect, Francois Spoerry, to provide individual luxury homes in Provencal style, all with privately owned moorings, for lovers of the sun and sea. Yachts, motor boats and tenders pass by throughout the day and there is always something to watch from the large terrace. Port Grimaud is situated at the head of the Golfe de St Tropez, mid-way between St Maxime and St Tropez, on the edge of extensive vineyards within sight of the magnificent range of mountains, Les Maures.

Port Grimaud

There are bars and restaurants in the squares and on the canalsides, with local produce on the menu. Port Grimaud has two separate shopping areas, each having a market twice a week. The markets offer local produce, wine, cheeses, meats, together with Provencal craft work. The shops sell high quality clothing, souvenirs and there is also a mini-supermarket in the Port. A number of high quality restaurants and bars add to the ambience.

There is a shopping mall housing a large supermarket at La Foux, Geant Casino, about half a mile from the apartment. This can be reached by foot, bicycle or car and for breakfast there is a huge Boulangerie just across the street. Further shops and markets can be found at Cogolin and Grimaud.

Credit cards are accepted at the majority of shops and restaurants, but not all! Cashpoint/ATMs are situated at the car park entrance of Port Grimaud I, or, in the Place de l'Eglise. The Post Office is situated in the Place du Marche in Port Grimaud I, only opening on weekday mornings.

The main private beach is about 5 minutes stroll from the apartment, an interesting walk glimpsing the Provencal lifestyle around this beautiful waterside environment.
